Friday 5

Happy Friday and happy weekend ya'll - MUCH needed relaxation time for me this weekend (as in I'm doing NOTHING) This leg and nerve pain/swelling has gotten so severe that I can no longer do regular activities and it is so scary. I mean, I didn't do a bumpdate and clearly that is not like me (haha I will hopefully be back on track next week as we hit 35 weeks on Saturday!) Baby girl is still wild and crazy so I'm glad she's still herself :) I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon to check and make sure everything is ok and also to get all the maternity leave paperwork started -so close it seems!- so half day for me. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Linking up today with the usual gang: Christina, April, Darci, Natasha , Amanda over at Meet @ the Barre and Karli with September Farm. for Friday 5 and Friday Favorites

My current work situation.....

But then this came on the radio and I may have cried a little....

Ya'll, I'm seriously obsessed with Bravo's Southern Charm. Patricia's words of wisdom just might have to be my favorite thing ever #LifeGoals

Target released their look book for their collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer coming up in April and I must say I'm kinda overly excited- anyone want to shop for me just in case I can't make it there on the 19th????? Some of my fav picks:

Weekend Fun!

Happy Monday ya'll! Stopping in quickly for a little weekend update but with this pain and swelling in my legs I am literally about to just fall in the floor and cry... I see bedrest in my immediate future and it scares me to death with how much stuff I still need to get done! Overall it was a great weekend - got to spend some time with Radford who flew in from GA at our college for an alum event and geez it was a gorgeous weekend to be at Hollins. The weather was absolutely beautiful! I got a little teary eyed because I knew it was probably the last time I would see her before Andi makes her arrival but she did however spoil Miss A with her first taste of Hollins gear and I love it!

With Spring just about in full force, my absolute favorite flowers are coming in and I couldn't be more excited. Daffodils literally are my fav and they come in so many different varieties! My husband knows that I would take daffodils over roses ANY day! (maybe throw in some peonies?) I have put so many around the house that I'm sure poor hubs will start sneezing... He also played the role (oh so well I might add) of the 'assembler' this weekend too. We now have 3 swings put together and the Elite Pack-n-Play which is fabulous! (we were laughing because it even comes with speakers and an attached mp3 port)

Linking up today with B Loved Boston & Champagne and Suburbs for Weekending!

Love the drive and the view of the mountains to Roanoke!

Dish it Up with Food Lion/Friday Fav

Hey ya'll and Happy Weekend!- it has been quite some time since I've done a meal planning or recipe post so when Food Lion contacted me about their new Dish it Up series I thought I would definitely join in. I live in a small town and Food Lion is actually my main grocery store so this worked out perfectly. I was given the task of picking up the ingredients needed and re-creating this dish:

Cowboy Quesadillas

This simple and DELISH dish was easy to prep and the hubs loved it. Also, the chicken and veggies gave it that extra protein I needed with the gestational diabetes going on (and bring on the cheese!) Seriously, can you go wrong with anything Mexican related AND on sale? For the full and printable recipe, visit the Dish it Up page by clicking here and also find other recipes. Their website is about to become more interactive and allow readers to rate and upload the recipes they make!

First find this display in your local Food Lion and it makes it a lot easier to track down the ingredients you need - it should be updated weekly with the specials and what recipe is being featured!

  •  Velveeta
  •  Diced Tomatoes and Chiles
  •  Chicken or Beef
  • Onions and Veggies
  •  Tortillas a
  • (And I added in some fresh Pico de Gallo and limes for a little added zest)

Yum and Yum!

Lastly, I want to giveaway a $100 giftcard to Food Lion so you can join in on the Dish it Up series too! Who doesn't need 100 bucks to throw towards groceries?! Enter below for your chance to win and good luck!  \

Week 33 Bumpdate

How far along? 33 Weeks & 5 days

Size of Baby: Baby girl measured a nice 4 lbs and 6 oz at our last ultrasound - about 6 oz over average! So the app averages seem a little behind....

Total weight gain/loss: up 2 pounds from last month's check-in (about 137!)

Symptoms: Everything blood sugar wise is right on track! Met with nutritionist and high risk doc last week and they don't seem to be concerned! I do meet with the Endocrine doctor tomorrow for the first time since I started checking levels (but I've been scanning them my log sheets each week)

Food cravings: Fruit still allllll the fruit in allllll the land! Also, Rita's Italian Ice is open- need I say more?

Oh yea! Mango time!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Have you started to show yet: Oh fo' sho'

Gender prediction: Girl! Miss Anderson Greer Otey (Andi)

Nursery: Putting away her books and decor is so fun but for some reason we aren't really rushing only because the nursery is upstairs and she will most likely be downstairs with us for upwards of 8 months or so- more like getting her some closet space with us, etc. etc. :)

Workouts: Love getting out and walking a little with this nice weather but TERRIBLE inner thigh and inner calf pain from her sending pressure on my nerves....called the on-call doc Saturday night (which I've NEVER done) because I'm barely able to walk, get up, stand, etc. and it is burning and red...the pain is sometimes unbearable ya'll...will talk to my doc at next week's appointment bc on-call doc was a complete douche and the facility will hear about it :(

Labor Signs: eeek no! Braxton hicks? Yes- at least a few times a day...

Belly Button in or out? flat.. like gone

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and excited! This is such a crazy feeling to know we're going to be the p-word (parents) so soon! Starting to slowly enter that super uncomfortable phase though I must admit

Best Moment this week: The shower was incredible as I said in Monday's post and yesterday I was able to spend the day with Heather and the twin girls before they head back home to Hatteras. They are the most gorgeous girls and and everyone is doing fantastic! Gosh I love my BFF!
